Lansing Wrestling Officials Association

Dear Wrestling Association Leaders and Wrestling Officials:

The MHSAA has had communications with several wrestling officials, association leaders and trainers over the past month and a common theme has consistently come up.  Because there were so few rule changes for this year, and there have been few rule issues thus far, many of you said taking the time and cost to travel to the midseason meeting this year made little sense.  Again, I have heard this from several officials and wrestling leaders in the state and I can see that point.

Because of this, we will not be holding the midseason meeting on Sunday, January 24.  Please forward this email to the wrestling officials in your association or that you know that there will not be a meeting here on the 24th!  Please spread the word!

We will be sending all wrestling officials an email update with any issues/items/reminders that come up between now and the start of the MHSAA tournament series in February. This update will go out by February 5.

MHSAA Regional and Final tournament assignments will be offered to officials by January 19.
